IT Kolledžis toimub Cisco Networking Academy 2016 konverents

Cisco Networking Academy 2016 NetAcad Nordics and Baltics Conference in Estonian IT College

Estonian IT College will be hosting from 12 May to 13 May 2016 the annual conference for the Cisco Network Academy Program. Cisco Network Academy Program is public private parthership between Cisco corporation universities, colleges, vocational schools and high schools from around the world.

Cisco provides the online curriculum free of charge to the schools. The course are designed to the teach students how to design, build and maintain medium to large networks with the CCNA curriculum, CCNA security curriculum and the CCNP Route, Switch and Shoot curriculum. Also there is a basic course on what is inside a Personal computer and how to maintain PC, printers and other devices attached to the network with the IT essentials course.

There are 60 participants from Scandinavia, Finland and the Baltic states participating in the conference here in Tallinn today and tomorrow.

„In order to be successful in any field you must keep up with the new trends in the Industry, “ said Lecturer of IT College and CCNP Manager Truls T. Ringkjob. „Here at Estonian IT College we know this and consistently have continuing education courses to keep our graduates or other interested individuals aware of the changes as they occur. Estonia remains a leader in adopting IT to its culture partly due to reaming current on the changes as the happen.“

Estonian IT College has been part of this program for 15 years and is responsible for developing the program here in Estonian. There are the other schools here in Estonia participating in the Cisco Network Academy Program as well. These school are: University of Tartu, Tallinn University of Technology, Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences , Tapa Gymnasium, Tallinn Polytechnic School, Kehtna Majandus- ja Tehnoloogiakool, Haapsalu Kutsehariduskeskus, Viljandi Ühendatud Kutsekeskkool.

Estonian Information Technology College is a professional higher education institution established in 2000, managed by Information Technology Foundation for Education (HITSA). It is possible to obtain professional higher education in the curricula of IT Systems Administration, IT Systems Development, Information Systems Analysis and in a new English language curriculum of Cyber Security Engineering from the fall of 2015. In total, more than 870 students study in the IT College in day, evening and distance learning courses. 810 IT specialists have entered the IT labor market from Estonian IT College.
