Helmes System Analyst Kaisa Soovik and Business Area Manager Deniss Ojastu will be delivering a public lecture “QuickStart – from idea to software quickly and successfully” at the Estonian IT College
On 8th of November 2016 at 1 pm, Helmes System Analyst Kaisa Soovik and Business Area Manager Deniss Ojastu will be delivering a public lecture “QuickStart – from idea to software quickly and successfully” at the Estonian IT College.
Software development is often just like constructing buildings – deadlines are not met, actual look and feel is different from what has been promised, there are unforeseen costs, and customer is not happy. We face such risks on daily basis – and will talk about how to do it right.
How to start a software project fast – and start in a right way? What questions to ask from a customer who comes with a request “I want to build a new webpage which shall be like Uber, but for baby parents”? How do we see a development cycle – and different roles involved there? How to make smart choice before, during and after coding a piece of algorithm? These are some questions we aim to cover.
The public lecture will be held in English and will be taking place in Estonian IT College building in Mustamäe, Raja 4C, room314.
A live broadcast of the public lecture will also be available on IT College website at www.itcollege.ee.
Join the public lecture in Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/events/1436560043040974/).
